SUMMARY OF MATCH
BRAZIL 1 V GHANA 0 ( LEANDRO DAMIAO - 45")
A friendly game between two very good sides. It was spoilt by Mike Dean's harsh handling of the game especially with the 2nd yellow card he gave to Ghana's Daniel Opare. Ghana was very strong in the first 38" as Brazil started the match very slow. Ghana was playing the 'Brazillian way'and dominated play with slick passes and 5 good shots on target. Julio Cesar, Brazillian's goalie was however not really bothered as the finishing of Ghana was not up to the task.
Ronaldinho, the prodigal son however connected well with Neymar, Marcello and Leandro. He took almost all corners, passed the ball spreading play and came close to score on numerous through freekicks.
At the 38", Mike Dean gave Ghana's Daniel Opare a harsh second card sending him off. This changed the game by handling the ball possession percentage to Brazil, who grew in confidence and started to dominate play. 6 minutes before Brazil scored a perfect goal by Lucio which was ruled offside and at 47", they scored a legitimate goal - Leandro's first International goal.
The second half showed the strength of the Brazillians. Sleek play, good dribblings, deft touches, close called freekicks and a superior ball possession showed their domination. Ghana's stand in keeper - Adam Kwarasey made some good world class saves to keep the scores at 1-0 in favour of Brazil.
Tottenham were previously enquiring about Leandro before the transfer market was closed, and one can clearly see why Harry Redknapp is interested in him. A strong striker with a good vision an eye for the goal.
Alexandro Pato, who came on 13" to the end of the game for the match winner (Leandro) almost scored with a well time header towards the end of the match after many 'Brazillian waves from the fans and a loud late on support from the Ghanaian fans.

COACHES REACTION
BRAZILLIAN COACH: MANO MENEZES
Lovely game by us but against a lovely side. Game was killed by the red card. Brazil are building gradually after a disappointing COPA AMERICA. Ronaldinho had a good game and the team. Better to win by 1- 0 and build confidencethan play better and lose. We need confidence.
GHANAIAN COACH: GORAN STEVANOVIC
Very frustrating game for us especially after the sending off against a good Brazillian side. We controlled the game very well but lost possession after the red card to Daniel Opare. We will get better as we play more. Adam Kwarasey had a very good game. Now we have to prepare for the friendly against Nigeria in 4 weeks.
