TOSH Mag : In the studio we have a beautiful model. An R & B singer a diva and everything good you can think of. Her name is Linda E. Welcome Linda.

TOSH Mag : How are you feeling today?
 
Linda E : I'm great. Thank you.
TOSH Mag : Do you want to say hello to our viewers, magazine readers and fans? Tell them more about you and what you do.
 
Linda E : Hello everybody. My name is Linda E. I am a singer, dancer and actress. Anything you want, I can do. I am 21 years old and I am proud to say I'm a Nigerian. I do celebrate my country.
TOSH Mag : And you also do modelling?
 
Linda E : Yep, I do. I recently came back from a shoot in France, Toulouse. It was for Afrique air which is a Nigerian airline. It was absolutely wonderful.
TOSH Mag : Come on Linda, tell us more. If you don't, how would we recognise a star like you on the streets?
Linda E : (Laughs). Ok. I did a massive photo shoot for Afrique airline. It should be launched in January 2009. We got on the plane and had so many video & photo shoots. It was absolutely brilliant.

The first time I was launched into the public eye was when I was 8 years old. I was a presenter on the CITV Kids awards. So if you can search for that on the internet, you would see me with my woolly hat. Also I was presenting Zap TV in 1995. Since then, I have performed in New York, in a Hip Opera called Bling. That was 2nd best thing ever to happen to me. I also performed in the Edinburg Musical Festival, the Young Vic Theatre, Fairfield hall in Croydon and I recently shot an advert for Vital – a non alcoholic drink. I've done fashion shows and in March earlier this year, I was in Bridal live show for mahogany models which was aired on BEN TV (Sky Digital channel 194). I was also in a movie – 28 weeks later as an extra so I've done loads of things even adverts for Tesco, Asda and many many others.
TOSH Mag : Wow, I have lost my breath. Amazing. By the way you are also a full time student. How do you cope with all these schedules coupled with your studies? It must be hectic!
 
Linda E : Yes it is very hectic. I am in my third and final year at Oxford Brookes University and I'm studying Performance, Arts & English Degree. To be honest, it is really hard. Joggling University studies and my career is very tough. But it is about finding the right balance. A lot of times, I can't say yes to every job. Atimes I have to be in a lecture or I have deadlines for course works. I just work hard to make all ends meet.
TOSH Mag : Thanks Linda. As you are aware, there are a lot of ladies who dream of becoming a model, actress or singer. Few do get parental support while others do not know how to even start climbing the career ladder. What advise can you give to them?
 
Linda E: With regards to modelling, what I first did was to get a modelling contract when I was 18. Luckily I was scouted but if you want to do it as a profession, get some pictures and create a powerful portfolio. Ensure you do shop around. Do whatever legal to get your face out there. It is not about getting paid straight away. It is about exposure. Like I always say, there is no point being the most talented person in the world if no one knows who you are. So get into Music videos, shoots, adverts and fashion shows. Whatever you can get into.

As for singing, I have been writing since I was 8 years old. But even if you do not write your own songs, that is not important. Just try to do showcases, open mic nights, pubs and clubs. Do all you can do so that people know what you are capable of. Link up with producers and studios that can help drop your tunes. Finally, surround yourself with like-minded people. That helps a lot to keep being positive minded.
TOSH Mag : That would help kids a lot especially with the Gun & knife crime out there.
 
TOSH Mag: Let us go a bit into your music. I heard it earlier on and was really blessed with the harmony and pureness in it. Your single is entitled Feelings?
Linda E  : Totally true.
 
Linda E  : Yes. It is called Feelings. So you like it. Thank you.

When I heard about it for the first time and immediately sent a feedback online because I was simply blown away. I honestly say it is an excellent idea. It is a medium for up and coming stars as well.  All I can say is more power to you.
